את משמעות הבחירות למדו ילדי דנה בשיעורים חוויתיים בנושאים שונים מעולם האזרחות - מהי דמוקרטיה? מערכת הבחירות הישראלית, מהן תכונותיו של מנהיג ציבורי? וראשי ממשלה בהסטוריה הארצית.
באחת מהפעילויות המרכזיות הגדירו התלמידים את חלומם למדינת ישראל שהיו מקוננים אילו היו מנהיגים אותה, והשיבו לשאלה "הנך מועמד/ת להיות מנהיג/ה במדינת ישראל, מה היה לך הכי חשוב להקים או לקדם?". התשובות שנשמעו היו מעוררות השראה והעלו בכולנו חשק חדש לצאת ולהצביע!
רוני, בת 6 "הייתי מקימה בכל הארץ לונה-פארקים לגדולים וגני שעשועים לקטנים שישמחו את כולם, וככה אנשים יהיו יותר מאושרים ופחות כועסים".
עידו, בן 8 "לפתוח עוד בתי חולים לבעלי-חיים בתוך בתי החולים של האנשים, שגם יהיו זולים וגם יעזרו לכולם להחלים".
אלינה, בת 14 "צריך לאפשר גם לנוער זכות בחירה והצבעה כבר מגיל 14, ככה שיוכלו להיות אחראים על עתידם במדינה, ולא להשאיר זאת רק למבוגרים".
